Mario Antico

Mario Antico is the founding partner and coordinator of the law firm Antico & Partners, established in 2008 in Romania.

After graduating from the University of Salento, he pursued postgraduate specialization courses at the International University of Bielefeld, Germany, where he obtained a degree in International Commercial Law, and at the University of Bucharest in Romania, earning a degree in European Private Law.

In 2007, he completed a professional internship in Paris, working as an in-house lawyer at a renowned Italian company specializing in major financial transactions. In 2008, he undertook a professional internship at the Romanian Competition Council, primarily handling matters related to mergers and abuse of dominant position.

Before founding the law firm that bears his name, he gained professional experience in prestigious Italian and international firms, working both in Italy and abroad, specializing mainly in administrative law and energy law.

Since 2008, he has primarily worked in Bucharest and Milan, assisting banks and multinational companies with investment projects and cross-border operations in various Eastern European markets, particularly in Romania, Serbia, Moldova, and Bulgaria.

He is a member of the Bar Associations of Brașov (Romania), Lecce (Italy), and Chișinău (Moldova).

Since 2018, he has been a member of the Executive Committee of Confindustria Bucharest, where he also oversees statutory matters.

Mario Antico assists Italian and international clients in bankruptcy and corporate restructuring procedures, tax law, renewable energy investments, and banking law. Today, he is a trusted consultant and board member of some of the leading Italian joint-stock companies (both private and publicly owned) operating in Eastern Europe, mainly in the financial/banking, real estate, oil & gas, and public procurement sectors.

He is fluent in Italian, Romanian, and English.
