With a Law Degree from Alexandru Ioan Cuza Police Academy Bucharest, in 1999, Atty. Monica Gabriela Scarlat joined Bucharest Bar in 2000. Having 24 years of experience, she specializes in civil law, commercial law, family law, and labour law, representing commercial companies, local public authorities, public institutions, and individuals before Romanian courts at all jurisdictional levels.

She is dedicated to continuous professional development and has completed a Master’s in International Relations and diplomacy, a Master in Banking Law, and the Human Toolkit Mediator Training Course in Bucharest. She holds a doctorate from Babes Bolyai University in Environmental Science and is listed as an arbitrator at Commercial Arbitration Court of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Targu Mures. Also, she was a former member of the Legal Commission of the Rotary International Association, District 2241 Romania and Republic of Moldova.

In the 2014-2015 academic year, she held seminars on “Environmental Legislation and Policy” at the Faculty of Environmental Science of Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca.

Monica is the author of several specialized legal articles and, before joining Antico & Partners, in September 2022, she worked with two leading law firms in Romania.

She speaks fluent Italian and English.
